The CHS soccer team fell to Ooltewah on Friday night in a non-district contest by a final score of 4 to 1.  The Owls got first half goals in the 5th, 15th and 31st minute to race out to a 3-0 lead.  Coffee County found the back of the net in the 35th minute as Breyer Taylor drilled a penalty kick past the Ooltewah keeper to make it 3 to 1 at intermission.  The Owls notched their 4th goal in the 66th minute.  The Raiders travel to Gulf Shores, Alabama next weekend for a tournament there.  The Raiders first...

Two out errors plagued the Red Raider baseball on Wednesday night in Shelbyville as the Red Raiders fell by a final score of 10 to 0. Both head coaches for Grundy County basketball resigned last week. Jackets’ coach Justin Bryant turned in his resignation followed by Lady Jackets’ coach Julie Davis. The Coffee County Red Raider baseball team opened the 2015 season hosting District 8-AAA foe Shelbyville. After the first inning the Raiders led the Eagles 3-1. Shelbyville cut it to 3-2 with a run in the fourth. In the 6th the Eagles plated 5 runs to take a 7-3 advantage. That score held up as the Raiders dropped game one of the year.
