Coffee County football kicks off the 100th year of Red Raider football Friday night, Aug. 19 when Franklin County comes to town. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Carden-Jarrell Field. Coffee County football kicks off in just one week. Now is the time to get your season tickets for the centennial year of Raider football as CHS marks 100 years of football. Coffee County season tickets will include admission to all 5 home games – beginning with the opener on August 19th when Franklin County comes to town. Cost per season ticket is $35. Volleyball matches can be swayed by the smallest of things. That was the case for the Coffee County Lady Raiders Tuesday night in their home opener against Riverdale. Senior Anna Johnson took off on a 7-0 run at the service line to bring CHS back from down 24-17 in the first set and knot the score at 24-24. The Coach Doug Greene Show – Built by Gilley Construction – will return exclusively to Thunder Radio airwaves this fall for the third consecutive year. Raider baseball to host 10 week fall development camp for youth
The Coffee County Central baseball program will be hosting a 10-week fall development camp for children in grades 2-8. The program will run Mondays and Tuesdays Sept. 12 through Nov. 14 and cost is $50 per player. Children in second through fifth grade will meet from 6-7 p.m. on Mondays and children in grades 6-8 will meet 6-7 p.m. on Tuesdays. The program is set up to give youth players an opportunity to work on basic skills. There will be a five week throwing focus, followed by a 5 week offensive focus.
