The Fayetteville Tigers scored 2 runs in the top of the 7th inning to edge the Westwood baseball team on Monday night 4 to 2 at Fred Deadman Park. After trailing 1 to 0 after 2 innings, Westwood took a 2 to 1 lead with single runs in the 3rd and 5th innings. The Red Raider defense of the Coffee County Middle School baseball team gave up 6 unearned runs in the second inning in a 13 to 3 loss to North Franklin in Winchester on Monday night. Sophomore Cameron Pearson hit a two-out, three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Motlow Lady Bucks a 5-3 win Saturday afternoon and complete a four-game softball sweep over visiting Dyersburg State. The bats finally woke up for the Raider baseball team of Coffee County Middle School on Saturday as Coffee County blasted Whitworth-Buchanan 10 to 0. The Coffee County Central High School tennis team finished off a busy first week of action with a pair of 7-0 wins over Cannon County on Friday. The Raider netters got their 2nd straight 7-0 double sweep over the Lion netters in Woodbury.
