The Coffee County Central High School tennis team finished off a busy first week of action with a pair of 7-0 wins over Cannon County on Friday. The Raider netters got their 2nd straight 7-0 double sweep over the Lion netters in Woodbury. Individual winners for the Lady Raiders were: Maddie Taylor, Ali Shelton, Makayla Morgan, Anna Harrell, Natalie Elzeer, Kara Roper and Jessica Barrera. The doubles team of Harrell and Morgan also blanked their Lady Lion opponents 8 to 0. In boys action, Jared Hu, Shlip Patel, Trevor Ivey-Bodman, Will Davis and Evan Harrell got singles wins while Grey Riddle and Reid Lawrence teamed up for a doubles win. The Raider tennis teams travel to Columbia in Monday for a district match with the Lion and Lady Lions. First serve is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
