A five run 3rd inning helped lift the CCMS softball team to an 8 to 1 win over North Franklin on Monday night in Winchester. The Lady Raiders struggled in the first time through the order as they were held to 1 hit through the first 2 innings. In the 3rd, the Lady Raiders used 4 walks and a 2 RBI double from Gracie Pippenger to take a 6 to 0 lead. Starting picture Maci Head made that lead stand up as she held the Lady Gators to 5 hits on the night. Pippenger finished with 2 hits and 2 runs scored to lead Coffee County. The Lady Raiders return home on Tuesday night for the second game in the series with the Lady Gators. First pitch is set for 5 PM at CCMS.
