The Tennessee Titans won over the Detroit Lions in overtime at LP Field, with a final score of 44-41. Detroit sent the game to OT on the last play of regulation. Rob Bironas kicked a 26-yard field goal in overtime, and the Titans stopped backup quarterback Shaun Hill on fourth-and-1 at the Tennessee 7 to get the win. Vandy Falls Big To #5 Georgia

Aaron Murray completed his first 12 passes and got plenty of help from the rest of the offense, leading No. 5 Georgia to its most complete performance of the season in a 48-3 rout of Vanderbilt on Saturday night. Eagles Fly Past Raiders

The Independence High School Eagles soared into Manchester on Friday night and cruised to 42-6 win over Coffee County. The Eagles star player Vic Wharton III threw a 19 yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, had a 52 yard punt return later in the first, and had a 68 yard touchdown reception just before the half to lead Independence now 4-2 on the year. After falling to Warren County on Tuesday, Coffee County defeated Grundy County last night in 4 sets.  Set scores were 25 – 19, 25 – 19, 24 – 26, and 25 – 21. Tullahoma Baseballer Now A Pirate

Bryan Morris became the second former Motlow Bucks player to play in the major leagues when he took the mound for the Pittsburgh Pirates and pitched a shutout inning against the Chicago Cubs on Friday, Sept. 14 in Chicago. Morris joins former Motlow pitcher David Weathers as the only Bucks to reach the major leagues. Weathers, who played at Motlow in 1987 and 1988, pitched 18 years in the big leagues before retiring two years ago.
