The Coffee County Central High School volleyball team finished the opening week of the 2014 season with a straight set win over Fayetteville on Thursday night at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gym.   The Lady Raiders open the season with a 3 and 0 record after dumping the visiting Tigers 25-11, 25-19 & 25-15.  Valiana Barger continued her dominant play at the net as she led the team in kills with 7.  The Lady Raiders got 19 service aces in the match as Tyger Fenton scored 5 while Cameron Davis and Cursten Vaughn each scored 4.  Brittany Williams recorded 11 assists for Coffee County.  The JV team also swept Fayetteville in straight sets, 25 to 6 and 25 to 9 as they remain unbeaten on the year.   The Lady Raiders will be back in action on Tuesday as they welcome defending the District 8AAA champion Columbia Lions to “The Patch.”  First serve is set for 6:00 PM

The Coffee County Middle School volleyball got a straight set win over Fayetteville on Thursday night in Fayetteville.  The Lady Raiders won by set scores of 25 to 17 and 25 to 23 over the home standing Tigers. The Lady Raiders were led offensively by Shannah Frame who had 5 service aces and 2 assists.  Haley Richardson and Skylar Bell each added a kill while Amanda Mukai had 3 aces.  The JV team beat Fayetteville in a 1 set showdown 25 to 18.  Elizabeth Proffitt had 3 service aces for Coffee County.  The Lady Raiders will host Warren County in a conference match on Monday.  First serve is at 4:30 PM
