Weston Hargroves and Andrew Mahaffey scored 2 touchdowns each on Tuesday afternoon in McMinnville as the Coffee County Middle School defeated Warren County 38-14. The annual football game is played in front of the students from each school. The Raiders will host White County on Tuesday beginning at 6:30pm. Volleyball action on Monday night had Coffee County taking on Warren County at “The Patch” in Manchester. The Lady Raiders moved to 22-11 on the year with a 3 sets to zero win over the Lady Pioneers. Set scores were 25-22, 25-11 and 25-22. Cursten Vaughn had 4 aces, Sydney Pearson did a great job with 9 kills and Brittany Williams contributed 18 assists. Tuesday Coffee County will play host to the Lady Cats of Tullahoma. Match time is 6pm with the Thunder Radio broadcast starting at 5:50pm. Lady Raiders and Jacob Prater Head To TSSAA State Golf Championships

The Coffee County Lady Raider golf team won the Region 4-AAA tournament Monday in Murfreesboro and earned their 2nd straight trip to the TSSAA State Championship. The tournament will held next week at Willowbrook in Manchester. This was the 2nd consecutive region championship for the Lady Raiders. Hollee Sadler and Savannah Quick led Coffee County in scoring on the day. Sadler and Quick each shot 75. Sadler finished 2nd and Quick 3rd after a playoff. Melia Stovall of Franklin County won the the individual championship. The 150 team score was good enough to slip past Riverdale by 19 shots....

Very Good Weekend For Lady Raider Volleyball

The Lady Raider volleyball team rolled off 6 straight wins in the Warren County volleyball tournament this weekend to propel them to the tournament finals. Their semifinal win over Tullahoma set up a Coffee County – Grundy County rematch in the finals. The Lady Raiders were unable to overcome the Yellow Jackets as they suffered their only loss of the weekend in the finals. Titans Lose Former Teammate and Game

The Cincinnati Bengals rolled to their third win against no defeats on Sunday at home as they beat the Tennessee Titans 33-7. Before the game the Titans learned that former All-Pro Titan kicker Rob Bironas was killed in a car crash Saturday night in south Nashville. The accident happened in the 800 block of Battery lane around 11 p.m. The crash occurred about a mile from Bironas’ home where police believe he was heading. He signed with the Titans in 2005 as an unrestricted free agent and was released by the team in March. Bironas holds the NFL record...

Raiders Fall At Lawrence County

Lawrence County piled up 464 yards rushing on Friday night as the defeated Coffee County 41-21 in District 8-AAA high school football in Lawrenceburg. The Raiders tied the game at 7 in the 1st quarter on an Alontae Taylor to Cody Howes TD pass. After that score the Wildcats went onto put up 28 points in a row before Coffee County could score again. Tough Night For Lady Raider Sports

The Coffee County soccer team fought to a 1 to 1 draw with Franklin County on Thursday night in Winchester. The Lady Raiders got their lone goal from Caitlyn Moore off of an assist from Makenzie Anderson. The draw leaves the Lady Raiders with a district record of 2 wins, 2 losses and a draw. Coffee County will travel to Columbia on Monday for a 7 PM match with the Lady Lions. Westwood Drops Game On The Road

The Westwood Rockets traveled Thursday to Liberty for middle school football. After Liberty took an 8-0 lead Byron Sullivan returned the kickoff over 80 yards for a Rocket touchdown to make the score 8-6. Liberty would score again and took a 14-6 lead at halftime. Liberty got the 3rd quarter started quickly with 62 yard TD run on the first play from scrimmage to up the advantage to 22-6.
