football_620x350Weston Hargroves and Andrew Mahaffey scored 2 touchdowns each on Tuesday afternoon in McMinnville as the Coffee County Middle School defeated Warren County 38-14. The annual football game is played in front of the students from each school.
The Raiders will host White County on Tuesday beginning at 6:30pm. Thunder Radio will broadcast the game live starting with the pre-game show at 6:20pm.

The Lady Raider volleyball team got one step closer to clinching a regular season District 8AAA title on Tuesday night with a 3 to 1 win over Tullahoma.  After Coffee County dominated the 1st set 25 to 10 and held off a surging Wildcat squad in the second set 25 to 19; the Lady Cats controlled the third set before winning 25 to 21.  The loss seemed to wake up the Lady Raiders as they blitzed Tullahoma 25 to 13 to win the match.  Cursten Vaughn had 3 service aces in the last game and finished the night with 13 kills to earn the gateway Tire and Service Center player of the game honors.  Valiana Barger added 4 kills for Coffee County, Tyger Fenton led in aces with 6 and Brittany Williams had 18 assists for the offensive leaders for the Lady Raiders.  Defensively, Sara Brown had 9 digs and Grace Spellings led the Raiders with 2 blocks.  With the win, Coffee County improved their record to 23 and 11 overall and 7 and 1 in district play.  Download the radio broadcast The Lady Raiders will play an in-school home match on Wednesday at 1:30 against Eagleville.

Putting together their 8th straight strong performance in a row, the Lady Raider soccer team got a 4 to 0 win at Wilson Central on Tuesday night.  With the win, Coffee County leveled their record at 6-6 & 3 on the year.  The Lady Raiders were led by their underclassmen as sophomore Makenzie Anderson notched 2 goals while sophomore Holli Smithson and freshman Eliza Masters each added goals for Coffee County.  The Lady Raiders will close out the regular season on Thursday, October 2nd as they play host to Central Magnet.
