The Coffee County High School basketball teams will play Warren County on Thursday @ Tullahoma High School in the Russell Barnett Hall of Fame Games. The game times have been switched. The TSSAA released its proposed football regions ahead of this week’s Board of Control meeting. Rutherford County’s five largest schools (Blackman, Oakland, Riverdale, Siegel and Smyrna) will be in Region 2-6A with Coffee County, Cookeville and Warren County. LaVergne, Stewarts Creek, Columbia, Franklin County, Independence, Lincoln County, Shelbyville and Summit will be in proposed Region 5-5A. If Thursday night’s crowd is any indication, the Coffee County Middle School varsity basketball teams should expect to play in front of packed gyms all season. Getting off to a strong start is a long accepted recipe for victory in middle school basketball.
