Grundy County Sweeps Coffee County

After Coffee County defeated the Lady Yellow Jackets of Grundy County by 39 points last week (55-16), the ladies from the mountain were much better at home. The Lady Raiders were down 26-23 at half but they held Grundy County scoreless in the 3rd quarter to take a 30-26 lead. Hoop Action For Westwood Rocket Basketball

Two injury-riddled Westwood Rocket basketball teams made the long trip to Eagleville on Monday night and earned a split in the conference doubleheader. The Lady Rockets used a strong 2nd quarter to open up a nine point halftime lead on their way to a 27 to 16 win over the Lady Eagles. Friday afternoon the Coffee County Lady Raiders picked up its first win of the basketball season as they defeated Grundy County 55-16.
