CCMS Lady Raiders Claim a Dramatic CTC Softball Championship

Remarkable Season Comes to a Close on Saturday for CCMS Soccer

CHS Baseball Season Comes to an End on Saturday

Leads of 4 to 0 and 6 to 3 were not enough for the Coffee County CHS Red Raider baseball team on Saturday as 5th and 6th inning rallies by Tullahoma dropped the Raiders by a score of 7 to 6 in the loser’s bracket of the District 8AAA baseball tournament.  The Raiders got on the board first in the top of the 2nd inning as they plated 3 runs.  Freshman Nathaniel Tate ripped a 2 RBI double for the big hit in the inning driving in J.P. CCMS Lady Raiders Split a Pair on Friday in CTC Softball Tournament

A 2 out, 2 RBI single by Amanda Mukai capped a 5th inning comeback for the Coffee County Middle School softball team on Friday night in the loser’s bracket semifinals of CTC Conference Softball Tournament being held in Tullahoma. Westwood Softball Crushes Riverside Christian on Friday

A 13 run explosion in the second inning was enough to power the Lady Rocket softball team to a 19 to 4 win over Riverside Christian on Friday afternoon at Westwood.  Sarah West and Alexcia Barnes were  each 3 for 3 for the game as Westwood banged out 15 hits.  West and Carlee Sullivan each were a home run shy of the cycle while Keyleigh Alford had a single, a triple and 3 RBI.  Hallie Wimberly got the win in the circle as she scattered 5 hits with 3 strikeouts.  Westwood will be at home on Saturday for a...

Raiders Fall Despite Sandavol’s Effort

The District 8-AAA baseball tournament began for the Coffee County Red Raiders on Thursday night in Winchester. The Franklin County Rebels scored a run in the 1st and that’s all they needed as Gus Barstad would hold the Raiders to just 2 hits on the night. The Rebels score the only other run in the game in the 4th to make the final 2-0. Peyton Booth and Brandon Haston had the only hits for Coffee County. After having their tennis match on Wednesday canceled due to a bomb threat at Shelbyville, the Westwood Rocket tennis teams returned to action on Thursday as they traveled to Tullahoma. The veteran Wildcats teams swept Westwood boys 9-0 while the girls got beat 7-2. Lacey Deason and Natalie Elzeer had the wins for Westwood in singles play. The Rockets will be back in action on Monday as they travel to Sewanee to take on St. Andrew’s. Jones Earns Big Honor

Senior Pitcher Brianna Jones of the Coffee County Lady Raiders has been named the MaxPreps/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Southern Region player of the week. Jones was tremendous in the circle last week for the Red Raiders, posting a 3-0 mark without allowing a run and surrendering just three hits in 18.2 inning of work last week.
