A late rally fell short as the Westwood Rockets football team dropped a heart-breaking 20 to 16 decision to Eagleville on Thursday night at Eagleville. The Rockets, who led 8 to 6 at the half, saw Eagleville storm back to score twice in the 3rd quarter. The Coffee County CHS and CCMS cross country teams hosted their annual middle school/high school meet on Tuesday as they welcomed in over 350 runners to their course on the campus of the Raider Academy. The Westwood Cross country teams continued their strong fall campaign as they competed against 8 other teams in the Coffee County meet on Tuesday. For the Rockets, Brady Nugent came in 10th place out of a field of 105 runners as Westwood’s top boys finisher in the boys’ division. The Coffee County Central High School soccer team got a hat trick from Caitlyn Moore to race past Lawrence County 6 to 0 on Tuesday night. In a match where Coffee County controlled the time of possession, the Lady Raiders limited the Lady Cats offensive chances all night long.
