Manchester Police Investigating Woman Who Tried To Cash An Apparent Stolen Check
The female left the ID and the check with the teller. The ID belonged to a Carla Fowler from Franklin County.
Office Ernie Colvin made contact with Fowler and she stated that someone broke into her car and stole her pocketbook a couple of weeks ago. She stated that her child support card was in her purse and it was used in Tullahoma for a purchase of $140 on October 5. The manager and an employee of the store the purchase was made at confirmed through a picture that was taken from US Bank surveillance that the female trying to cash the check was the same person that made a purchase at their store.
Manchester Chief Investigator Billy Butler said in an email that this is an on-going investigation with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. Police have developed suspects in this case and plan to make an arrest or arrests in the not so distant future.
