Counterfeiters Hit Tullahoma

Two area fast food restaurants recently were the victims of counterfeiters. According to Tullahoma Police reports, a white female driving a Chevrolet Cavalier passed a $5 bill at Captain D’s on March 26 at the drive through window. When the store clerk checked the bill and determined that it was counterfeit. The clerk then went back to the window and asked for another $5 bill and when she did the woman drove away. Fire Departments Go Through Training

Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Department in conjunction with Alto Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department hosted the first tri county fire training weekend this past Saturday, March 31, at the Hillsboro Park. Following the motto “train like your life depends on it… because it does,” over 70 firefighters from Coffee, Franklin, and Grundy counties took part in a live fire training exercise. Training stations included sessions about ventilation tactics, fire attack, landing zones, interior search and rescue, and rehabilitation. Two Die In Saturday Crash

Two people were killed and 2 injured in a three vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on Highway 53 in Manchester. According to a report by Trooper Gavin Sullivan, a 1996 Ford van operated by 59 year old Barbara Davis of Jim Cummins Hwy Bradyville was traveling north on Hwy 53 when a 1999 Ford Escort operated by 23 year old Dustin Kindred of Crestwood Drive, Tullahoma struck the van in the rear. Sentencing Delayed For Tullahoma Man

The sentencing of the man convicted of the murder of a 2-year-old Tullahoma boy was delayed Friday in Coffee County Circuit Court. Thomas “TJ” Greenwood, 22, was convicted of first-degree murder Thursday by jury of seven women and five men of the March 9, 2010 murder of Hayden Gage West. Greenwood was babysitting the child the day of the death. Defense attorney Roger Bean informed Coffee County Circuit Court Judge Craig Johnson that one his “very important witnesses had to be transported to the hospital by ambulance after becoming ill.” He then asked the judge for the sentencing hearing...

Micro Craft Anniversary

A year later and having to do without, Tullahoma’s employee formed and owned Micro Craft Inc. has survived and is making its way toward a future expansion.
