The Coffee County Middle School football team got a huge win at Whitwell on Tuesday night in a non-conference tilt.  The Raiders scored 2 TD’s and one 2 point conversion in each half in the 28 to 0 win.  The Raiders converted a Tigers fumble on the first play from scrimmage into a short drive culminating in a TD run by Blanton Brown.  Robert Brandon tacked on a 2 quarter TD and Andrew Mahaffey got the PAT on a QB keeper to make the score 14 to 0 at the half.  The Raiders added a pair of TD’s in the 3rd quarter as Weston Hargrove broke free for a 52 yard touchdown run.  Blanton Brown added the PAT to make it 22 to 0, and Josh Sanders tacked on the 4th TD of the night late in the 3rd quarter to end the scoring.  The Raider defense again was stellar as Whitwell was held at bay all night long.  Hayden Skipper had an interception for Coffee County and Clayton Lowell earned player of the game honors with his tenacious play from his linebacker position.  With the shutout, Coffee Middle has outscored its opponents 74 to 0 in the opening 2 games of the season.  Coffee County plays host to Tullahoma on Tuesday night at Carden-Jarrell Field.  That game will kick off at 6:30 and Thunder Radio will broadcast that game as part of our Hometown Tuesday series.
