The Central High School Lady Raider volleyball team opened their 2014 season at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gymnasium on Monday night as they played host to Grundy County.  After splitting the first 2 sets 25 to 22 and 23 to 25, the Lady Raiders settled their nerves to sweep the next two sets 25 to 15 and 25 to 17 to open the season in winning fashion.  The Lady Raiders were led in kills and blocks by Valiana Barger with 13 kills and 4 blocks. Brittany Williams led the team in assists with 21 while Cameron Davis had service 8 aces.  The JV volleyball team lost their 3 set match to the Yellow Jackets.

The Lady Raiders travel to McMinnville on Tuesday to take on Warren County.  The JV match will get underway at 5 with the varsity match to follow at about 6 PM.  The Coffee County Middle School volleyball team hosts Eagleville on Tuesday afternoon at 5.  We will have that broadcast for you on Thunder Radio as part of our Hometown Tuesday program.
