The event is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 15 in the worship center at the church.
Hooker will be on hand to share about his family, his faith and his football career.
Area football teams from Coffee County Central High School, Warren County High School, Coffee Middle School and Westwood Middle School will be attending.
General admission tickets are available to anyone else who wants to attend. Tickets are free but they are limited and anyone wanting to attend MUST have a ticket.

CHS basketball to host second kids camp this summer
Due to high demand, Coffee County basketball coaches Joe Pat Cope and Andrew Taylor will be hosting one more kids basketball camp this summer.
Any children entering grades K-8 are welcome to attend camp July 20-21 from 1-3 p.m. each day at the Coffee County Central Gymnasium (100 Red Raider Dr.).
Cost is $40 per camper with a $10 siblings discount and a $10 discount for campers who attended the June camp.
In order to guarantee a shirt that fits, pre-registration is a must. Pre-registration is available from 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16 at the CHS gym.

FOOTBALL: Raiders hit the road this week for pair of 7 on 7 games
The TSSAA mandated dead period for athletics ends on Monday (July 11) and the Coffee County Central football team will be very busy this week getting ready for the upcoming season.
The Raiders will hit the road on Tuesday (July 12) for an early 7-on-7 passing session at Ooltewah High School that will begin at 8 a.m. Central Time.
Thursday (July 14th), the Raiders will travel to Red Bank for a 5:30 p.m. central start in more 7 on 7 action. The first week of practice in full pads begins on July 25th.
The Raiders kickoff the regular season Aug. 19 when Franklin County comes to town. This will be the 100th year of Red Raider football in Manchester. Since 1957, Red Raider football can be heard all season long on Thunder Radio – 107.9 FM, 1320 AM, Manchester Go app and thunder1320.com. Friday Night Thunder pregame show begins every week at 6 p.m.

Coffee County tennis team tryouts set for July 14-15
New Coffee County Central tennis coach Joe Pat Cope has announced that tennis tryouts for the upcoming year will be on Thursday and Friday, July 14th and 15th.
Students entering the 9th through 12th grades who would like to tryout for the CHS tennis team should be at tryouts both days, which will be held from 9-11 a.m. at the tennis courts behind Raider Academy (McMinnville Highway). Physicals will need to be on file or a new form brought to tryouts.

Dead period ends Monday. CHS golf first team to start official practice
TSSAA dead period officially ends Monday, July 11. And while many schools at Coffee County Central will be having unofficial workouts, the Coffee County Central golf teams will be the first to begin official practice.
Under the direction of head coach Brad Costello, Raider golfers will hit the links on Monday at WillowBrook Golf Course to start official practice with the first match just three weeks away – an August 1st match in Tullahoma. The full schedule is below:

Coffee County’s Moran named to TN Baseball Report All-Region team
Coffee County Central baseball had one player selected to the Tennessee Baseball Report All-Region team for Region 3.
Red Raider Caleb Moran – who played multiple positions for the Raiders this past spring, was placed on the team. Moran played catcher, first base, left field and designated hitter for CHS this spring. He will be back on the field for the Raiders in 2023.
Meanwhile, Jayden Fellers and Timothy Henderson were named to the TN Baseball Report Super Sophomore Team.


Joe Pat Cope named new CHS tennis coach
Joe Pat Cope will now be a multi-sport coach at Coffee County Central High School.
Cope will be the new CHS tennis coach. He takes over for Josh Inzer.
Cope has 7 years of tennis coaching experience at both Lebanon and Dekalb County.
Cope continues as the head girls basketball coach at Coffee County, entering his sixth season this upcoming winter.

Two Lady Raiders named NFCA All-Region
More postseason honors have rolled in for members of the 2022 Coffee County Central Lady Raider softball team.
Recent graduates Kiya Ferrell and Haidyn Campbell were named National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Selections.
Ferrell was named first-team all region and Campbell second team.
Ferrell hit .446 for the Lady Raiders this past spring and led the team in runs scored with 41. She had 5 doubles, 3 triples and a home run on her resume. She will be playing college volleyball at Cumberland this coming school year.
Meanwhile, Campbell led the 2022 Lady Raiders in RBIs with 32. She was second on the team in doubles with 7 and blasted 3 home runs. She will play college softball at Walter State.

Braves remain 6th in MLB power rankings as season hits halfway point
The Atlanta Braves are currently sixth in the MLB Power Rankings as the season officially gets into the second half.
The power rankings, which are arbitrary, are led by the 58-22 Yankees, who remain on pace to break the single season wins record (116 wins by the Mariners in 2001).
The Astros are second at 52-27.
