1/25/15 ——- Richard Allison Willingham
Mr. Richard Allison Willingham, age 67, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, passed away Thursday morning, January 22, 2015.
He was the son of the late Truman and Mary Willingham.
Mr. Willingham was a graduate of Tullahoma High School, Class of 1967. He entered into the Army in October of 1967 and served until October 1969. He was in the 8th Infantry Division of the US Airborne, where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Parachute Badge, Good Conduct Medal, and Sharpshooter M14.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister Marie Harper.
He is survived by a son Troy (Penny) of Harvest, AL., daughter Tracy of Killen, AL., granddaughter Taylor, grandson Dylan, brothers Tommy Willingham of Tullahoma, TN., Jerry Willingham of Nashville, TN., sister Pat Stone of Tullahoma, TN., nephews Marty Stone of Atlanta, GA, Johnny Willingham of Fairview, TN., Michael Stone of Tullahoma, TN., Terry Cargile of Manchester, TN., Travis Willingham of Tullahoma, TN., nieces Dawn Morris of Toney, AL., Crystal Peery of Murfreesboro, TN., Jamie Caldwell of Fairview, TN., Julie Harper of Tullahoma, TN., Robin Johnson of Tullahoma, TN., Tabitha Willingham of Hixson, TN., aunts Bennie Adcox of Brentwood, TN., and Dorthy Adcock of Joelton, TN.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, January 25, 2015, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

CHS Wrestlers Fall at Region Duals Meet
After finishing as the runner up in District 9AAA, the Coffee County Central High School wrestling team qualified for the Region 5 Duals on Thursday night. Opening the meet with the host Siegel Stars, the District 10 champions, the Red Raiders battled hard taking 6 of the 14 matches to a decision, but could only get one win as they fell 68 to 3. Dustin Seals(285) got a 13 to 11 decision win to notch the Red Raiders only points on the evening. Rein Bozich(132), David Tate(138), Austin Payne(182), Joshua Tobitt(195) and Joel Singleton(126) avoided pins, but could not escape with decision victories. The Red Raiders will return to the gym to prepare for the Region Individual meet coming up on February 5th and 6th at Siegel.

The Aaron’s Sales and Lease Student of the week for 23 January 2015
is Kylie Brown. Kylie is in seventh grade at Coffee County Middle School
in Coffee County. She is the daughter of proud parents Megan and Ricky.
She was nominated for this award because she set the example for other
students to follow and is representative of the school’s motto, respectful,
responsible and prepared. She enjoys going places with friends and
family. Her favorite subject in school is math because she finds it to
be easy. She plans on being a veterinarian when she gets older.
Kylie was presented with a plaque (courtesy of K&S Trophies of Tullahoma
and a set of tickets to an up-coming Nashville Predators game. Congratulations to Kylie Brown,
the Aaron’s Sales and Lease Student of the Week.
Coffee Middle Splits Pair with Harris on Thursday Night
The Lady Raiders and Red Raiders of Coffee County Middle School closed out their regular season with a “Pink-Out” night on Thursday night as they played host to Harris Middle of Shelbyville. The Lady Raiders, who trailed at the half, outscored Harris 29 to 10 in the 2nd half to close out their conference slate with a 36 to 21 win and finish the regular season with 13 and 1 conference record. Bella Vinson drained three 3 pointers in the 4th quarter to finish with 11 points for Coffee County. Abby Morgan had 8 points on the 3rd quarter to also finish with 11 points.
The boys were not so fortunate as they spotted Harris a 17 point first half lead before falling 50 to 34. Blanton Brown came off the bench to score 9 points to lead the Red Raiders in scoring. Trace Bryant and Chay Chumley each tallied 6 points for Coffee County.
Coffee County now prepares for the CTC tournament which will begin on Monday night. The Lady Raiders will begin tournament play on Monday night at 5:00 PM as they play host to East Tullahoma. The Red Raiders will take on North Franklin on Tuesday night. Tip off for that game will be at 8:00 PM. All of the CTC tournament games will be held at Coffee County Middle School.
1/31/15 —– Shelia Ann Wimley Harris
Shelia Ann Wimley Harris, age 48 of Winchester passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 12 Noon until service time. A native of Decherd, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Dorothy Brewer Wimley. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and listening to music. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Kimberly Wimley and nephew, Steven Massingille. Mrs. Harris is survived by one son, Chris Lawrie of Decherd; one daughter, Sheleah Harris of Tullahoma; one brother Johnny Watson of Marietta, GA and ex-husband, Thomas Lawrie of Decherd. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
1/24/15 —- BETTY DEAN GARRETT
BETTY DEAN GARRETT, age 83, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Harton Regional Medical Center.
Betty was born January 22, 1931 in Limestone County, Alabama and was the youngest child of seven. She was born to the late John Leslie and Mary Elizabeth Magnusson.
Betty was a member of the Estill Springs United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son; Clyde Michael Garrett.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Mary Paulette Scoggins and her husband, Matthew “Sonny” M., Jr. of Columbia, Tenn., grandchildren; Matthew M. Scoggins, III and his wife, Emily of Knoxville, Tenn., Dr. Marion Scoggins of Houston, TX, Chad Michael Garrett and his wife, Melissa of Estill Springs, Tenn., Jenny Baumann and her husband, Alex of Atlanta, GA, and Michelle Partin and her husband, Jason of Decherd, Tenn., five great-grandchildren; Olivia, J.W., Abby, Sam and Lucy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Grant Funeral Services from 10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Betty will also be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Reverend Joe Rutherford, officiating.
Interment will follow at Hastings Cemetery in Ardmore, AL with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Estill Springs United Methodist Church or the Multi-County Cancer Society.
Awards Presented At Westwood Middle School Football Banquet
Other awards handed out included 3 players selected for the 2014 Duck River Valley All-Conference team. They were 7th grader Jacob Floyd and 8th graders Marcus Pendelton and Byron Sullivan.
Manchester Police Asking For The Public’s Help
Officers with the Manchester Police Department are searching for two vehicles and the people inside the vehicles. The search is being conducted in connection with two theft cases at the Powers Storage facility, located on Hwy. 53 (Woodbury Hwy.). The thefts occurred around 5pm, Sunday afternoon Jan.18th. One of the thefts involved items belonging to the Special Olympics.
