Coffee Middle Splits Pair with Harris on Thursday Night

The Lady Raiders and Red Raiders of Coffee County Middle School closed out their regular season with a “Pink-Out” night on Thursday night as they played host to Harris Middle of Shelbyville. The Lady Raiders, who trailed at the half, outscored Harris 29 to 10 in the 2nd half to close out their conference slate with a 36 to 21 win and finish the regular season with 13 and 1 conference record. Bella Vinson drained three 3 pointers in the 4th quarter to finish with 11 points for Coffee County. Abby Morgan had 8 points on the 3rd quarter to also finish with 11 points.
The boys were not so fortunate as they spotted Harris a 17 point first half lead before falling 50 to 34. Blanton Brown came off the bench to score 9 points to lead the Red Raiders in scoring. Trace Bryant and Chay Chumley each tallied 6 points for Coffee County.
Coffee County now prepares for the CTC tournament which will begin on Monday night. The Lady Raiders will begin tournament play on Monday night at 5:00 PM as they play host to East Tullahoma.  The Red Raiders will take on North Franklin on Tuesday night.  Tip off for that game will be at 8:00 PM. All of the CTC tournament games will be held at Coffee County Middle School.
