The Westwood Rockets tennis teams dropped their final scheduled tennis match of the year on Wednesday night in Fayetteville.  The Rockets could not get a match win against Riverside Christian as the boys fell 8 to 0 while the girls fell 9 to 0.  2015 was the inaugural season for Westwood tennis and Coach Justin Winton was proud of the progress his team made throughout the season.  Winton said that he saw improvement in all the players of which few had any tennis experience at all.  Coach Winton is holding out hope that a previously cancelled matches with Shelbyville and St. Andrew’s can be rescheduled before the end of the school year.

A 3 run 1st inning lead was not enough for the Lady Rockets softball team on Wednesday night as they dropped a 12 to 8 decision to Liberty in Shelbyville.  Keyleigh Alford and Haley Miller each had 3 hits for the Rockets while Avery Whitsett and Sarah West finished the night with a pair of hits each.  Westwood will begin their conference tournament on Friday night at 5:45 as they take on Cascade.  The conference tournament will be held in Fayetteville.
