Vandy Wins Behind Stacy’s Record Day

Number 2 is now number 1 at Vanderbilt

Luckily for Zac Stacy, he won’t be remembered for his last carry on a record-setting day.
Vanderbilt (3-4, 2-3) overcame a fourth-quarter fumble by its senior running back, who rushed for 169 yards and a go-ahead touchdown in a 17-13 victory over Auburn on Saturday.
Stacy had 27 carries and became the school’s all-time rushing leader but lost the ball on his final rush, allowing the Tigers (1-6, 0-5 Southeastern Conference) to take over at their 32-yard line with 2:24 left. The Tigers could not score.
Stacy set the record for career rushing yards during the game. He now has 2,670.
Massachusetts comes to Nashville Saturday for a 6pm kickoff.
Matt Hasselbeck hit Nate Washington for a 15-yard touchdown with 1:03 left in leading the Tennessee Titans to a 35-34 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
