Robert E Lee PTO and Faculty Invites Runners To The Great Pumpkin 5k and Fall Festival

The Robert E Lee Elementary (REL) PTO is sponsoring the 5th annual Great Pumpkin 5K. This year’s race will be held on November 8, 2014 beginning at 8:00am at REL, 313 Layne street, Tullahoma. Runners can register Saturday morning, or go to the REL web site http://robertelee.tn.tcse.schoolinsites.com/ or http://www.tullahomatn.gov/get-fit/. Runners of all ages and experience level are welcome.
“It’s always very exciting to have any type of community 5k,” said principal, Dr. Woody Dillehay. “Robert E Lee has a tradition of excellence and this fundraiser helps to support the faculty and students.”
The course will start at the front of the school and wind through the neighbourhood and end back at the school in time for the Fall Festival Fundraiser. Tickets are available before Saturday at the school or at the door the day of the event.
“This is a great way to have fun and Get Fit!,” said Mayor Lane Curlee. “Our health is one of our greatest assets, and I want to encourage everyone to join in the fun.”
The community is invited to join the fun. After the fun run and walk, there will be carnival games, face painting, craft fair, auctions, balloons, prizes food and pony rides.
