After a month of intense practice and a number of scrimmage games, including a pair at the acclaimed CBHoops JuCo Jam preseason event in Atlanta, the Motlow Bucks will open the 2014-15 basketball regular season when they host non-conference Snead State (AL) at Copperweld Arena on Friday, Oct. 31. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and admission is free.
With the opening of his second season as head coach in Lynchburg on the horizon, Matt Sligh has recruited an outstanding group of newcomers to join four returning sophomores who contributed significantly to last year’s success, including All-American point guard Dequon Miller. Expectations are high for a program that has won over 20 games in four of the previous seven seasons.
Most Motlow home games will be broadcast live on Tullahoma’s ‘The Ticket’ sports radio, Thunder Radio’s sister station. Listeners can tune in on the radio at 105.1 FM and AM 740, on the internet at www.theticketradio.com, on a smartphone using the free Tune-In Radio app, and in Tullahoma on LightTUBe television channel 11. Video replays can be seen on LightTUBe channel 23.
