Davis Green pitched 6 strong innings as the Coffee County Red Raider baseball team completed the season sweep over district rival Franklin County with an 11 to 2 win on Tuesday night in Winchester. Davis got the win after scattering 8 hits and walking 3 while fanning 5 Rebel batters. Coffee County tallied an 8 run 4th inning highlight by 6 walks and a 3 RBI Duncan double from Gavin Husted. Jacob Langham continued his hot hitting streak as he was 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored and an RBI. Alan Rob, Wyatt Day, Deandre Wakefield and Cade Giles each had doubles for Coffee County. The win evens the Raiders record at 4 and 4 on the year in District 8AAA and lifts them to 3rd place in the standings. The Raiders return to the diamond on Saturday morning at 10 AM when they will take on White County at Powers Field as part of the Rebel Classic. The Raiders will follow that up with a 2:30 PM game against McMinn County.
