The CHS Wrestling team welcomed Lawrence County and Stewarts Creek for a 3 team match on Friday night at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gym. The grapplers got strong performances from top to bottom of their roster as they got a win over Lawrence County and a strong performance, in a losing effort, against Stewarts Creek. Against Stewarts Creek, Joel Singleton dropped a tough 6 to 2 decision(132
pounds). The Raider grapplers got pin fall wins by Owen Teague (126), David Tate (138), Jose Ruiz (145) and Joshua Tobitt (195).
In their winning match against Lawrence County, Owen Teague won a 4 to 2 decision at 132 and Austin Payne got a 9 to 3 decision (182). Hannah Curtis (106), Joshua Tobitt (195) and Joel Singleton (132) got forfeit wins. Getting pin fall wins for Coffee County were: Brandon Baumstein (113), David Tate (138), Jose Ruiz (145). The pin for David Tate was his 7th win by pin fall for the week.
