Raider Wrestlers Have Strong Performances on Saturday

The Coffee County CHS Wrestling team competed in the Vibe Nutrition Red Hawk Rampage on Saturday at Stewarts Creek High School against some of their best competition of the season. The Raiders earned 46 team points to finish in 12th place in the 20 team meet. The highlight of the day was the performance of Josh Tobitt who placed 2nd at 182 pounds. Tobitt netted 22 points for the Raiders as he got 3 pinfall wins on his way to the championship match. In the championship match, Tobitt lost on a decision to Dawson Johnson of Bartlett. Owen Teague placed 4th at 138 pounds as he netted 11 team points on the day. Teague got 2 decision wins before falling in the semifinals. Also scoring team points for the Raiders were Dustin Seals(285) who got a pinfall win to earn 6 team points, Michael Pressley(170) got a decision win and a pinfall win to earn 4 team points and Brodie Litz(160) had a pin fall win to earn 3 team points. Josh Young(145) also scored a pair of pinfall wins. The Raiders return to the mat on Monday as they return to Stewarts Creek for a 6 PM meet with the Red Hawks.
