Cross Country Meet Held In Manchester For The First Time In 30 Years

Manchester and Coffee County hosted its first cross country meet in approximately 30 years on Tuesday as the Coffee County High school cross country team hosted middle school and high school races at the site of the former Old Stone Fort Golf course.  In middle school action, the Westwood Rockets made a strong showing as the Westwood Varsity Boys took 1st place and the Westwood Varsity Girls took 2nd place overall for the meet.  For the Rockets, Andres Cavalie finished in second place with a time of 10:21 and Samuel Workman in third place with a time of 10:55.  Top runners for...

The CHS Soccer team exploded for 5 second half goals to dispatch Lawrence County and celebrate a homecoming, of sorts, for the soccer program.  Competing on their still unfinished home field for the first time in nearly 2 years, the Lady Raiders were able to finish strong as they netted 4 goals in the final 20 minutes for the 5 to 1 win.  The Lady Raiders controlled the match from the onset as they held Lawrence County to only 2 shots on the match.  The Lady Raiders were able to fire off 27 shots as nine different Lady Raiders...

Lady Raiders and Crossland Win District Golf Championships

Freshman Jacque Crossland of Coffee County High School won the girls District 8-AAA individual golf championship Tuesday at Riverbend Country Club in Shelbyville. Crossland won the championship by one shot over teammates Hollee Sadler and Savannah Quick along with Malaya Stovall of Franklin County. After a playoff Stovall finished 2nd, Quick 3rd and Sadler finished 4th. The Lady Raiders won the team championship with a score of 153. Coffee County Middle School Soccer Finishes with Perfect Conference Record

The Coffee County Middle School soccer team completed a perfect 6 and 0 conference schedule with a 4 to 1 win over North Franklin on Monday night in Winchester.  The Lady Raiders raced out to a 3 to 1 halftime lead behind goals from Bailey Sherrell, Morgan Henley and Abby Morgan.  Raider keeper Chloe Spry shutout the Gators in the second half and Allie Amado notched the final goal for the Lady Raiders.  The JV Lady Raiders blanked North 4 to 0 to finish perfect in conference play as well.  The Lady Raiders will open up the conference tournament...

CHS Freshman Football falls to Warren County

The Coffee County Central High School freshmen football team dropped a 24 to 12 decision to Warren County on Monday night. Things looked good for Coffee County until late in the 3rd quarter as Warren County quarterback Isaiah Grayson scored his 3rd and 4th touchdowns of the night on runs on 43 and 64 yards. The Coffee County High School softball team will be hosting a college softball game on Thursday night. Lady Raiders Have Busy Weekend In Volleyball and Soccer
