The finals match ups are set for the Coffee County Youth Basketball League after the semifinal games on Saturday. In the girls’ semifinals, Westwood topped North Coffee 19 to 7 in the first game of the day as Gracie Morris scored 7 points for the Lady Eagles. The Aaron’s Sales and Lease Student of the week for 16 January 2015 is Brandon Perry. Brandon is an eighth grader at West Middle School in Tullahoma. He is the son of proud parents Carolee and Darren. He was nominated for this award because he is helpful to his teachers and classmates and he is also a great student. Brandon plays football and is a 2nd degree black belt in karate. Brandon’s favorite subject is math because he says it’s fun and he’s good at it. Student-athletes at Motlow College continue to excel academically, proving themselves as leaders in the classroom as well as on the field and court. Twenty-five earned Dean’s List and Honor Roll designations during the fall 2014 semester. Motlow is an annual leader throughout the Tennessee community college system in student-athlete graduation rates.
