Holding Tullahoma West to zero points for nearly 2 full quarters broke open a tight game for the Lady Raiders of Coffee County Middle School leading them to a 42-15 win. The Lady Bobcats drained a 3 point shot with 1:33 to play in the first quarter to tie the game at 9. From that point forward, the Lady Raiders allowed only 1 field goal the rest of the game. Lindsey Perry and Abby Morgan led Coffee Middle in scoring with 10 points each. Bella Vinson added 7 points including a big 3 pointer at the end of the 1st quarter.
The Red Raiders saw a 9 to 9 halftime tie evaporate in the second half as they fell by a final score of 34 to 23. The Red Raiders could not capitalize on free throws while West made the most of several offensive rebounds to get second chance points. Weston Hargrove led Coffee County in scoring with 11 points while Harley Hindshaw and Andrew Mahaffey each finished with 4. Coffee Middle closes out their regular season schedule on Thursday night as they play host to Harris. Girls action will tip off at 6 PM on 8th Grade Night at the Coffee County Middle School Gym.
