The Coffee County Middle School soccer team earned their first win of the year on Tuesday night with a 4 to 0 defeat of White County in Sparta. The game, which was a make-up from March 3rd, saw the Raiders take a 1 to 0 halftime lead thanks to a White County Own goal in the 15th minute. In the second half, Tucker Anderson, Hayden Hargrove and Isaiah Escamilla all netted goals for Coffee County as Anderson also added an assist. A nine run explosion in the 4th inning vaulted the Coffee County Middle School softball team to a 15 to 2 over Harris on Tuesday night in Shelbyville. Leading 6 to 1 to enter the frame, the Lady Raiders used 2 extra base hits and 2 Harris errors to ground the Eagles for the second night in a row due to the mercy rule. A hot hitting Shelbyville Eagles baseball team ruined the season opener for the CHS baseball team on Tuesday night as they pounded out 12 hits in a 10 to 2 defeat of the Red Raiders.
