In a rematch of the girls’ district finals of 2015, the Shelbyville Central High School tennis team welcomed Coffee County to the Eagles home courts on Tuesday. Unlike last season, the Lady Raiders could not pull the upset of the talented Eagle teams on Tuesday. Both boys and girls teams fell by identical 5 -2 scores on the evening. A seventh inning rally came up 1 run short on Tuesday night as the Westwood baseball team dropped a 6 to 5 decision to Moore County in a Duck River Valley Conference game at Fred Deadman Park. The Coffee County Middle School JV baseball team swept a doubleheader from Cannon County on Monday in a pair of games at CCMS. Kohl Young pitched a complete game shutout on Monday as the Coffee County Red Raider baseball team defeated Franklin County 2 to 0 at Powers Field on Crethan Hansert Night.
