Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association reached an agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement on Thursday, paving the way for the 2022 regular season to begin on April 7. After the MLBPA approved the deal by a 26-12 vote, the owners ratified it Thursday night with a unanimous 30-0 vote, officially bringing the three-month lockout to a close. TITANS ONLINE The Titans have agreed to terms on a multi-year contract extension with outside linebacker Harold Landry. A second-round draft pick of the Titans in the 2018 NFL Draft, Landry was named a Pro Bowler in 2021 after finishing the season with 12 sacks, which ranked 10th in the NFL and led the team. Major League Baseball’s all-time hits leader Pete Rose is making a return visit to Manchester. Thunder Radio News announced the visit last week — there has been a change in the schedule since then. STATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: Community encouraged to line highway for Raider escort March 16
The community is invited and encouraged to send off the CHS Red Raider basketball team on its way to the state tournament next Wednesday (March 16, 2022). The Raiders will be leaving Coffee County High School from the bus loading zone and get a police escort down McMinnville Highway (State Hwy. 55), past Raider Academy to Interstate-24 Westbound.
