On Monday, Major League Soccer unveiled MLS Unites, a league-wide platform that highlights all of the efforts that MLS players, coaches, clubs and the league are doing to address the important messages and programs taking place during the COVID-19 pandemic. The new initiative was launched in partnership with the Major League Soccer Players Association. CHS Volleyball Team Cancels April Fishing Tournament
The 3rd Annual Coffee County CHS Lady Raider Volleyball Fishing Tournament has been cancelled. In an announcement made on Saturday, head coach Andrew Taylor made the cancellation official. The tournament, which is run in cooperation with the Coffee County Youth Bass Club, was to be held on April 18th on Normandy Lake. Titans Make Contribution to Nashville COVID-19 Response Fund
The Tennessee Titans have made a $50,000 contribution to Metro Nashville’s COVID-19 Response Fund.The United Way of Greater Nashville announced the franchise’s donation, which was shared in a Metro press release on Saturday.The fund, led by Mayor John Cooper and philanthropic, corporate and government partners, is working to address the health and economic challenges of COVID-19 by deploying resources to community-based organizations to make sure individuals and families receive the assistance they need to meet their basic needs during the pandemic.The fund currently has $2.4 million after receiving generous donations from the Frist Foundation, the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation and...

MLB, players reach deal addressing key issues
Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association have finalized a deal that addresses both salary and service-time issues, among others, as the entire sport continues to wait out the coronavirus pandemic. With no start date set for the 2020 season, the two sides had been negotiating for the past couple weeks in an effort to figure out how to handle the potential for a shortened season. Titans Agree to Terms with Special Teams Ace Nick Dzubnar
The Titans have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with special teams ace Nick Dzubnar. Dzubnar (duh-ZOOB-nar) has spent the past five seasons with the Chargers, where he played primarily on special teams. During his NFL career, Dzubnar has played in 65 career games and he’s recorded 61 tackles. The 6-foot-1, 240-pound Dzubnar played in all 16 games during the 2015, 2016 and 2019 seasons.
