The college basketball season opened for Motlow on Friday night. The Lady Bucks drop a thriller in OT as they fell to Snead State 96-90. Sabrina Jackson 19 and Chelsea Holman 16 led Motlow.
In the men’s game, Jaylen Barford led the Bucks with 22 pts. D’Andre Downey finished with 20 and DeQuan Miller added 18 in the Bucks’ 104-86 win over Snead State.
On Saturday the men took on the Shooting 4 Greatness Academy from Atlanta, Georgia. The game was close throughout with the Bucks leading at halftime 48-45. Motlow was finally able to pull away late in the 2nd half for a 104-87 win. DeQuan Miller led the Bucks with 32 followed by Jaylen Barford with 222 and Clint Nwosuh chipped in with 17.
The Bucks and Lady Bucks will be back in action at on Friday and Saturday as they host Jackson St followed by Columbia St.
