Motlow Goes Down In Softball Doubleheader

The Motlow Lady Bucks will face two of the nation’s top teams during the next week when they travel to Fyffe, Ala. to battle 24th-ranked Wallace State on Thursday and then host No. 1 Chattanooga State on Tuesday at the softball complex in Moore County.
The Lady Bucks (11-15, 2-5) will need to regroup quickly from their 10-0, 5-1 sweep at the hands of John C. Calhoun Community College on Tuesday, Apr. 3 as they prepare to face the two powerhouse programs.
Motlow and non-conference opponent Wallace State (27-7) have already had two scheduled doubleheaders postponed this season and are scheduled to play at Motlow on Apr. 30 in the final regular season game of the year. Thursday’s game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start in Fyffe.
Tuesday is the only scheduled twinbill against the Lady Tigers from Chattanooga (39-3, 8-0), who lead the TCCAA standings and have beaten a number of other highly-ranked teams this season. The first pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m.
