The Coffee Co. soccer team won their first district game of the year at home Tuesday against Cumberland County, 3-0.
Junior Ricky Ramirez scored on a free kick from 20 yards out to open the scoring, and Ramirez added another goal from the same distance after receiving a pass from Pedro Martinez. Freshman Abilene
Barrera scored the third goal after CCCHS goalkeeper David Morgan sent a punt deep into Jet territory. Barrera collected the long ball misplayed by a defender and sent a volley shot past the keeper. David
Morgan collected his second shutout in goal in as many days. Coffee Co. will play Marshall Co. at home today.
