Defying all the weather odds, the Westwood Middle and Coffee County Middle School golf teams took on Tullahoma Middle in golf action on Thursday at Lakewood Country Club. A pair of 42’s by the Red Raider pair of Samuel Prater and Austin Farris was not enough to overcome a round of 36 by Tullahoma’s Hayden Blair. Jacob Uheline added a 43 for the Cats who dropped Coffee County by a score of 172 to 187. Josh Perry shot a 50 for Coffee Middle while Matthew Hale carded a 53. Westwood was led by Austin Burch with a 66. In girl’s action, Tullahoma’s Mallory Teurbrook led all scorers with a 53. Ava Catherine of the Lady Cats shot a 61 while the Lady Raiders’ Olivia Lewis got around in 81. These 3 teams will be back in action on Monday for a rematch at Willowbrook. The shotgun start will go off at 4:00 PM.
