Fayetteville Comeback Drops Westwood Baseball on Monday

The Fayetteville Tigers scored 2 runs in the top of the 7th inning to edge the Westwood baseball team on Monday night 4 to 2 at Fred Deadman Park.  After trailing 1 to 0 after 2 innings, Westwood took a 2 to 1 lead with single runs in the 3rd and 5th innings.  The visiting Tigers tied it in the 7th and used 3 hits and an error in the 7th to claim the win.  Westwood was able to get the tying runs in scoring position in the 7th, but a strikeout and a flyout ended the threat.  Jacob Garms led Westwood in hitting with a pair of singles Nick Smith had a single a walk and was hit by a pitch in 3 plate appearances.   The Rockets return to the diamond on Thursday night when they welcome Community to Looney Riddle Field at Fred Deadman Park.  First pitch is set for 5 PM.
