The Coffee County Middle School football team traveled to Winchester on Tuesday night for a conference tilt with South Franklin. Coming off a 28 to 0 win last week over Harris, the Raiders tangled with the Trojans on South’s homecoming night. South led from the very first play on their way to a 32 to 0 win over the Red Raiders.
After receiving the opening kick, South scored on the first play from scrimmage on a run by the quarterback. It was a back and forth battle throughout most of the 1st half before South added a 7 yard touchdown run on 4th down to take a 16 to 0 lead at intermission. In the second half, South added a pair of touchdowns in the 3rd quarter for the win.
The Red Raiders will return to Carden-Jarrell Field next Tuesday when they host North Franklin. Opening kick is set for 6:30 PM.
