Coffee County played host to Grundy County in high school basketball on Thursday night. In the girl’s game the Lady Raiders dominated the Lady Jackets as the cruised to a 49-18 non-district win. Tyger Fenton led Coffee County with 11 points. Freshman Brooke Freeze came in to play the final 3 minutes of the game and scored 5 points to earn the Gateway Tire and Service Center player of the game.
Coffee County is now 4-4 on the year.
The Raider boys played a tight game with Grundy County until the 4th quarter and that’s when Coffee County pulled away for a 61-48 win. Four Red Raiders scored in double figures with Addison Carter and Wyatt Day leading the way with 14 each. Peyton Talley added 13 and J.P. Duncan chipped in with 11. Day was named the player of the game.

Coffee County will travel to Cannon County on Saturday night for a 6pm tip-off.
