Coffee County Elementary Basketball Holds Girls’ Semifinals on Monday

The Coffee County Elementary Basketball League opened up the girls’ semifinal round of their postseason tournament on Monday night.  This pair of girls’ semifinal games set up the girls’ championship and consolation match ups which will be held on Saturday.

In the first semifinal, Westwood scored 6 points in a 14 second stretch of the 3rd quarter to take a commanding lead over New Union.  That lead opened up a close and hard fought game as Westwood won by a final score of 31 to 10.  Jules Ferrell led Westwood in scoring with 15.  Audri Patton added 13 for Westwood.  Jaydee Nogodula led New Union in scoring with 4 points.

In the second semifinal, North Coffee built a 16 to 0 lead in the first 7 minutes of the game to remain unbeaten on the year.  North Coffee rolled to the 31 to 8 win.  Ella Arnold led the Lady Chargers in scoring as she had 15 points.  Natalie Barnes added 12 points for North.  Rylee Fuller led the Lady Warriors in scoring with 5 points.
