CHS Volleyball Falls at MTCS; Prepares for Saturday Tournament

Coffee County Central High School volleyball lost a 4 set match to non-district foe Middle Tennessee Christian on Thursday night in a match played in Murfreesboro. Coffee County lost by set scores of 15-25, 22-25, 25-19 and 23-25. Fourteen service errors contributed to the loss as Coffee County was not able to aggressively attack the Lady Cougars service receive.
Aerial Williams had 9 kills and 4 blocks to lead the Lady Raisers in both categories. Baylee Nester added 7 kills and 4 aces. Tyana Fenton led Coffee County in digs with 17 while Bailey Morgan led in assists with 14.
The Lady Raiders return home this weekend to host the Southern Slam tournament. Coffee County will open play at 8:30 on Saturday morning as they take on St. Andrew’s-Sewanee. The tournament will be held on 2 courts at the high school and 2 courts at the Manchester Recreation Center.
