Competing in her first ever penthalon, CHS freshman Sarah Pearson finished in 3rd place in the TSSAA Section 2 sectional on Tuesday at Rhea County.  The automatic bids to compete at the TSSAA state track meet in May go to the top 2 finishers, but according to CHS track coach Stan Jarrell, Pearson may still get an invitation if her score is one of the top 4 scores among non-qualifiers state wide.  Pearson, along with Makenzie Anderson and Taylor Deberry competed for the Lady Raiders in the five events.
