CHS Soccer Races Past Cascade on Tuesday

A hat trick and 2 assists from Caitlyn Moore lifted the Central High School soccer team to a 6 to 1 win over Cascade on Tuesday night. The Lady Raiders jumped out to an early lead thanks to 3 goals in the first 11 minutes. Cascade got their lone goal in the 9th minute.
Eliza Masters opened the scoring for the Lady Raiders off an assist from Allie Amado in the 2nd minute. Masters then found a wide open Moore in the 8th minute to make it 2 to 0. After the Cascade score, Moore scored on a breakaway in the 11th minute and set up Makenzie Anderson in the 14th minute to give Coffee County a 4 to 1 halftime lead.
In the second half, Anderson found Moore open and Caitlyn notched her 3rd goal in the 46th minute. Masters closed out the scoring on a feed from Samantha Ellison to make the final score 6 to 1. The win improves the Lady Raiders record to 5 and 1 on the season.
The Lady Raiders are back in action this weekend when they travel to Winchester to take part in the Rebelette Classic. The Lady Raiders open play on Saturday morning at 11:40 against Columbia. They will take on Community at 5 PM before coming back to take on Stewarts Creek on Sunday morning at 10 AM. The championship game is set for 3:30 Sunday afternoon at Franklin County High School.
