The Red Raider soccer team had several scoring opportunities in the 2nd half, but could not notch a goal as they fell 1 to 0 to Shelbyville on Tuesday night in Shelbyville. The battle between the last 2 unbeaten teams in the district lived up to the anticipation as a Golden Eagle goal in the 15th minute gave Shelbyville all the offense they would need on the night.
Coffee County’s district record falls to 3 and 1 on the year with their final 2 district contests on tap this weekend. On Friday, the Raiders travel to Lawrenceburg for a 6 PM match with Lawrence County. The Raiders return home on Saturday to take on Lincoln County in an 11 AM game at the Raider Soccer Field.
