The Coffee County CHS freshman Red Raiders traveled to Warren County on Monday night for their first action of 2019. Coffee County fought hard but ended up dropping an overtime decision to the Pioneers. The Red Raiders fell by a final score of 46 to 44.
The Red Raiders were led in scoring by Brady Nugent and Rueben Alvarez who each netted 11 points. Connor Shemwell added 8 points and Aiden Abellana and John Dobson each finished with 5 points.
The freshmen cagers will be back in action on Saturday, January 19th when they travel to Shelbyville for a freshman tournament. The Red Raiders will play 3 games at Shelbyville Central High School. The tournament schedule will be released in the coming days.
