For the 2nd day in a row, the Coffee County baseball team went toe to toe with nationally ranked McCallie before falling on Tuesday evening 3 to 1 in Chattanooga. Kohl Young went the distance on the mound for Coffee County as the senior went the distance for the Raiders giving up 6 hits and 1 earned run with 2 strikeouts.
Coffee County was able the match the Blue Tornado with 6 hits of their own, but it was an Alan Rob solo home run that provided the only run of the game for Coffee County. Nathanial Tate was 3 for 3 on the night with 3 singles.
The Red Raiders return home on Wednesday night for a 5 PM game with Marshall County at Powers Field.
