CCMS JV Baseball Beats Tullahoma, Finishes 3rd in CTC Tournament

Trey RogersThe Coffee County Middle School Red Raider baseball team settled for a 3rd place finish in the CTC Conference JV baseball tournament on Sunday afternoon. The Raiders, who dropped their second round game to top-seeded Warren County on Saturday morning, eliminated Tullahoma on Saturday evening to set up a matchup with North Franklin on Sunday in the semifinals. A pair of crucial errors led to all 7 North Franklin runs in a 7 to 1 defeat at the hands of the Gators. Bryson Clanton scored on a Braden Brown single for the Raiders lone run.
On Saturday night, the Raiders eliminated the rival Wildcats 10 to 6. Coffee Middle broke open a tie game in the 4th with 5 runs to eliminate Tullahoma from the tournament. Braden Brown had 3 hits for the Raiders. Trey Rogers added a pair of singles as well. Warren County had placed Coffee County in the losers bracket with an 8 to 4 loss earlier on Saturday afternoon. Braxton White had a walk, a single and scored a run for Coffee County.
