Registration has begun for the 2012 Motlow College Elite/Skills Basketball Camp, scheduled to be held from June 18-20 at Copperweld Arena on the Moore County campus, according to Motlow head men’s basketball coach Jerry Nichols.
Registration forms can be printed from the MotlowSports.com website and mailed to Coach Nichols, or can be picked up at the Motlow basketball office inside Nisbett Center. For further information, contact the basketball office at 931.393.1620 or email Coach Nichols at jnichols@mscc.edu.
The camp will be held from 9 a.m. until noon all three days and is designed for boys and girls ages 6-14. The cost is $50 per person, although discounts are available for families with multiple campers and for teams with eight or more players.
The curriculum is designed to be fun and challenging with an emphasis on basic basketball skills, fundamentals, and teamwork. The camp is designed to prepare players interested in playing at the high school and collegiate level.
Coach Nichols and his staff, along with Motlow basketball players, will instruct campers on ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding, defense, and other specific basketball fundamentals. Space is limited, so campers are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
